Crunchy Chocolate Clusters

I have been getting a craving for chocolate A LOT lately. But really who doesn’t :). Last night while I was searching my cupboards for chocolate I found a chocolate bunny. Yes somehow it got pushed to the back and forgotten about. After a few bites I decided plain chocolate was not going to satisfy my craving, I needed some crunch too. So I decided to make some crunchy chocolate clusters.

Don’t they look good? Best part is they are so easy to make. I have the shortened recipe below, but here is the step by step.

What you will need:

Chocolate (I used a large chocolate bunny but chocolate chips or wafers will work too)

Rice Krispies  – 2 Cups approx if you used most of the large bunny

Step 1.

If using a bunny or other block of chocolate chop it up. This will make it melt faster and easier to stir. The whole family enjoyed snacking on these before I was able to get them melted.

Step 2.

Melt chocolate in the microwave. cook for 30sec intervals stirring in between until the chocolate is completely melted.

Step 3

Add the Rice Krispies to the chocolate, until you reach your preferred mixture. You want enough extra chocolate to hold the cereal together.

Step 4.

Drop spoon size clumps onto a wax paper lined cookie sheet.  Then harden by leaving them at room temperature, or speed it up by putting it in the fridge or freezer.

My daughter loves helping me in the kitchen. When chocolate is involved she’s even more helpful. I miss the days when I got to lick the spoon
