Final Week With Our Elf On The Shelf

This was our final week with Sparkles. I split it up a bit with week #4 to make it easier to read. Also with such a busy Christmas Eve I figured it was necessary. She even took over our camera!

Day 28 – Liz lost her tooth today. We put it under her pillow as usual but it looks like Sparkles had other plans. She must have waited until after the Tooth Fairy came and than tried to trick Liz into thinking she never came. Of course Liz was able to find her with the pillow and money.

Day 28 –  She turned our fridge into a snowman! For more info check out this tutorial.

Christmas Eve!
On Christmas eve we returned home rather late from a family gathering and found a gift bag hanging on our mailbox. When we checked the tag it turned out it was for Sparkles from Santa!
It was a new sweater, a jersey even. We left it with her when we went to sleep. Along with milk and cookies for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer, of course.
When we woke up the next morning there were more surprises than we expected! The kids had both been “wrapped” into their rooms. They had to break out when they woke up. There was also a goodbye note from Sparkles.

I also found our camera in an interesting position on our laundry hamper. Of course there was no time to think about that! We had to get downstairs and see if Santa had come.
We spent the rest of the morning doing our family Christmas things. Liz mentioned how much she was going to miss Sparkles a few times.
Later that day I was looking through the camera to see the photo’s from our morning. However when I got to the end there were a few pictures I didn’t remember taking. Here they are:

Looks like Sparkles wanted one last good bye and used the timer on my camera to make it happen. I’m glad the kids could see her in the new jersey before next year.

It has been a fun build up to Christmas with the addition of Sparkles to our family. I know I can’t wait to see what kind of things she gets into next year. Especially with 3 kids to keep an eye on.
