Over a month ago I was given the chance to try the new Herbal Essences line of product, Naked Volume. I got a full size shampoo, conditioner and soufflé to try. I loved that this gave me the perfect excuse to have a shower regularly; as a new mom it was usually too hard to get the shower to myself.
Did this shampoo blow away my current one? No. Will I be buying it? YES! The biggest factor about this shampoo is not that it cleans your hair better than the others. It’s the ingredients that are NOT in this shampoo that matters. The fact that there are no dyes, parabens or heavy residues. These are things you don’t want to use and why a growing number of people are switching away from parabens. If you don’t to know why, check out this post for more info.
First impression is the smell. You still have the amazing scent you expect from Herbal Essences. I really like the shampoo’s smell as I reminded me of Skittles.
Here is how my hair looked before I started using the new Herbal Essences Naked line: (please don’t laugh at my roots I have a new baby so getting to the salon is down on my list right now)
Here I had been using the product for about 3 weeks. Still looks great right.
Since I was paying so much attention to my hair over this time (and my little girl finally took a bottle) I decided to get my highlights done. This pic is after 2 weeks of using the Naked products with my colored hair.
As you can see my hair still looks great! It is so nice to find a product that can do the job without the unnecessary ingredients. My favorite part about this shampoo is that it is affordable! I checked it out at the store and it goes on sale just like their regular shampoo. You can also get coupons for it regularly from Brandsaver either on-line or in your local newpaper.
