Honey Glazed Ham… A to Z Challenge

One of my favorite meats is ham, we eat it a lot in our house. The recipe I use came from my mother-in-law. Funny thing is my mom uses a very similar one as well.

I place the ham into my slow cooker, top it with a small can(snack size) of pineapple tidbits, 2 teaspoons of brown sugar, than drizzle whole thing with a tablespoon of honey. I leave it to cook for 2-4 hours on high. I baste it a few times during cooking too.

The size of your ham will affect the cooking time so please take into account the hams I use are about half the size of a football. When I cook them from frozen they are closer to the 4 hour mark.  Check the internal temperature to make sure it’s fully cooked before serving.
