Crock-Pot Beef Roast

Here is a very simple way to cook a beef roast in the slow cooker. It’s the way I usually cook it as I find the slow cooker to be the easiest way of cooking. I have never burnt a roast in the slow cooker. It also spreads out the time I spend in the kitchen preparing dinner.

You can sub the tomatoes if you wish. I have made this successfully with salsa in place of tomatoes when I didn’t have any in the house.

BBQ Maple Pork Chops

I tried a new recipe for pork chops the other night and they were so good I thought I would share.

I made a seasoning from this website. Than I made my own BBQ sauce, using a marinate recipe from my grandma, adjusted to account for what I had in the house. We grilled them on the BBQ and they tasted great.

What you will need:
The Seasoning: Find Here scroll till you find Neely’s Seasoning
(I made half the amount they suggest and I had enough to do these a few times and still some left over.
I keep this in an air tight container in the cupboard.)
Pork Chops
1/3 cup Ketchup
1/3 cup Soya Sauce
1/3 cup Diana Sauce – Maple Flavor

Items all ready

Cover both sides of the pork chops in the seasoning

Seasoned Pork Chops

Mix the ketchup, soya sauce & Diana sauce together (I find using a small whisk works best)
Pour over seasoned meat.

Soaking in all the sauce

I let it marinate most of the day, at least 4 hours, but if you plan ahead over night would be even better.

Grill on BBQ until cooked through, you can baste with extra sauce while cooking, but toss remaining sauce.
