Value Your Time

Do you know how much value your time is worth? Do you use the time you have to it’s full potential? I use to think the value of my time was my hourly wage at work. A raise meant my time was more valuable. Boy was I wrong! Now it has been about 3 1/2 years since I have had an hourly wage put on my time. I feel much better about myself and about how valuable my time truly is.

Do you put the correct value on your time? Do you ever think about how much one simple cost cutting measure can help your bottom line? Check out why you should

When you have the choice of what to do with your time and you take full advantage of it you can make yourself happy! I can tell you an hour of my day is worth WAY more than the $8 an hour I received when I first started working. It is even more valuable than the $17 an hour I was receiving when I left the “workforce”.

Once I figured out I was the one who decided how much “money” my time was worth I started seeing more ways to maximize my hourly value.  It most commonly comes across as how much money did I save by doing “X” activity. Want some examples?

– An hour a week washing & hanging my diapers to dry = 3 years worth of disposable diapers (I’m afraid to find out how high this cost is)

– An hour to make a homemade meal most days = $40 take out/$10 over processed meal from store

– 15 mins to check flyers and shop the sales = up to $100 a week in savings

This is just a very small sample of the true value of my time. I wish I would have thought this way before. I might have changed the way I looked at the world. I know it would have made me a much happier person!

Have you ever considered how much value there is in an activity you do? How much money are you saving within an hour? We can all learn from each other!
